Children and adolescents account for about 20 percent of all farm fatalities, comprising a higher proportion of the total number of nonfatal farm injuries (National Committee for Childhood Injury Prevention, 1996). It is estimated that 27,000 children under the age of 20 who live on farms and ranches are seriously injured each year.
Our kids’ safety should be our top priority on and off the farm. Slow down, take your time and double check your surroundings. “Wait for Me” is part of our “Farm Safety Campaign”.
Help your kids be seen in these brightly-colored vests that can be thrown on over any clothing item. These are great to keep in the pickup or tractor for when your kids are around and need to be a little more visible.
These vests can easily grow with your child. They fit my 5T/XS four-year-old perfectly with definite room for growth. They also fit my 3T two-year-old without too much extra room that it becomes a hinderance.
Proceeds from everything in the Wait For Me Collection are donated to families who've suffered loss or injury of children on the farm and to causes that educate about keeping kids safe in our industry.
